Ice Ideal Cut Diamonds

We all want a good price, but we also need good value

To have good value, you need good quality at a good price

And that's precisely what "ICE Brand" diamonds are all about

"Ice brand" diamonds are carefully cut for brilliance, while maintaining a highly competitive price/value relationship.

Ice brand" diamonds are precision cut then certified by DCLA,HRD, GIA or AGS, Ice Ideal & Excellent cut diamonds are cut within a range of dimensions and tolerances that produce exceptional brilliance.

Note: Certification by the independent laboratories is not a guarantee of quality it is a guarantee of accurate assessment.

There is no single universally accepted grading standard for cut and proportion, mainly because there exists a range of possible dimensions that produce high quality diamonds. The major international grading laboratories grade as deviations from one of 4 standards, The choice of standard is usually of a nationalistic or historic nature.

See Also Cut Grading Criteria and

AGS and GIA cut criteria

In simple terms, if a combination of dimensional proportion prevents the leakage of light, then the diamond will display increased "brilliance"

The first two illustrations below illustrate the leakage of light of diamonds not cut within "Ice Brand" specifications.

The third illustration is typical of diamonds cut to "Ice Brand" specifications

The brilliance of "Ice Brand " diamonds can clearly be seen with the naked eye and do not require special instruments or scopes to prove they are in fact " brilliant " However the use of optical scopes like The Firescope, Ideal Scope and H&A Scope can all be used to eliminate poorly cut diamonds

Diamonds that qualify as " Ice Brand" are not bound by any one laboratory opinion, they are selected across the dimensional spectrum of the most popular traditional standards.

"Ice Ideal & Excellent " diamonds are selected from within the range of tolerances indicated in the images below and then subjected strict visual inspection".

Although selection will always be within these ranges, special care is taken to ensure that the crown and pavilion angle combinations are compatible.
